Red Wing Grain.
“Red Wing Grain loads corn and soybeans onto barges from local farmers within a 75-mile radius of Red Wing. A river towboat will gather up to 15 barges and then head south on the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico.
The grain on these barges will be loaded onto large vessels destined for Taiwan, Korea, Japan, China, Africa, and South America. The corn and soybeans are used mainly for feed for livestock.

1 Barge - 55 Semi-Trucks or 55,000 Bushels.
